2015 Elections: LASAA holds town hallmeeting with political aspirants on campaignposters and banners.

Lagos State Signage and Advertisement
Agency (LASAA) is set to meet with political
parties to spell out modalities guiding the use
of campaign posters and banners for the
forthcoming general elections.
The Agency’s Managing Director, Mr George
Noah, said this has become necessary to
checkmate indiscriminate use of campaign
posters and banners in Lagos State.

Noah added that the parley would seek to
ensure that the use of campaign posters and
banners is done with proper consideration for
the environment under enabling laws.
Throwing light on challenges being faced by
the agency’s enforcement team, in its bid to
rid Lagos of the visual blights posed by
indiscriminate use outdoor political campaign
materials, Noah lamented: “Our officials are
being attacked and harassed daily whenever
they set out to discharge their statutory duties
across the state. Despite repeated appeals
and warnings we have noticed an increasing
trend in this ignoble act. This has to stop.”
He added: “We wish to restate our
commitment to our earlier directive to the
effect that posters will not be allowed within
unauthorized places. These are: high streets,
highways, major roads, loops bridges, pillars
and triangulars.

Tyler Perry sues alleged stalker, who is an ex-employee

Tyler Perry is suing an ex-employee named
Joshua Sole, 27, (pictured right) for
trespassing and stalking him but some people
are twisting the story and saying the guy is
Tyler's ex, not true. Joshua, who is also a
model, went to Tyler's studio and refused to
leave until he spoke with the director.
From Atlanta Journal Constitution
A reputed stalker seems to have put a fright
into movie mogul Tyler Perry right before
Halloween. Perry filed for a protective order
Monday in Fulton County Superior Court
against Joshua Sole, 27, of Dunwoody, who
was booked into the county jail Friday for
criminal trespass at Tyler Perry Studios.

He's so fine...why are you stalking Tyler, come
stalk me....:-)
Sole is trying to intimidate him, Perry says in
the lawsuit.
Sole had tried to contact Perry Thursday with
no success, the lawsuit said. He apparently
was so determined to get a face-to-face with
the movie makerthat the lawsuit said he
disengaged the power to disable the alarms
and surveillance equipment at the studio in
southwest Atlanta.
Then he climbed into the studio through a
suspended ceiling, the lawsuit said.
Atlanta Police said they got a call about an
intruder at the Tyler Perry Studio about 6 p.m.
Thursday. When officers arrived, the head of
security said an “employee Joshua Sole has
been acting weird” and had barricaded himself
in a room where the administrative offices
were located, according to the incident report.

At the time, the security chief was puzzled by
how Sole had gained access to the room. It
took police more than four hours to get Sole
into custody. He was booked into Fulton
County jail Friday early Friday morning.
Perry is asking the court to ban Sole from
coming within 500 feet of him, and to compel
Sole to undergo psychological evaluation and
treatment as well as pay Perry at least $
100,000. The studio executive will let a jury
decide if he deserves more compensation, the
lawsuit said.
The lawsuit doesn’t say whether Perry fired
Sole or in what capacity he was employed.
Perry says he is entitled to the money because
of the “discomfort and annoyance caused by
the diminished value of peaceful enjoyment”
he gets from the property, according to the
lawsuit.
It is unclear why Sole wanted to talk to Perry.
Attempts to reach Sole were unsuccessful.
The lawsuit contends that Sole harassed Perry
by stalking him and “simple assault” — but
doesn’t go into details — when he trespassed
on the property. It also says Sole has been
“stubbornly litigious, or acted in bad faith, or
caused the plaintiff unnecessary trouble and
expense” without explanation.
Perry also wants $25,000 for attorney fees.
His lawyer Richard Gordon declined to
comment.
A Fulton County magistrate apparently didn’t
consider Sole dangerous. He was released on
a $7,000 signature bond — meaning he put up
nothing of value — the same day he was
jailed.
Perry, however, is trying to remedy that
outcome. The lawsuit asks the Superior Court
to require Sole to post a bond to ensure his
good behavior.

This guy is giving away round-the-world planeticket to anyone with his ex-gf’s name

This 27yr old man Jordan Axani is advertising
on Reddit to take any girl named Elizabeth
Gallagher on a world trip. According to his
explanation, he said he booked a round-the-
world trip with his girlfriend in March 2014 so
they could spend Christmas and New Year
together but they then broke up, leaving him
with a spare ticket in the name of his
Canadian ex-girlfriend.
He said he tried to get the name changed, but
found a 'name change on a ticket is damn
impossible’ so he came on Reddit asking them
to help him find anyone with the same name
with the same nationality, who might want to
join him on his trip. See what he wrote on
Reddit after the cut...

"In March I booked a fairly wicked trip around
the world for this Christmas for my ex and I.
While our relationship has come to a close, I
am still planning on going on the trip and
she is not (naturally). And because I hate the
idea of a ticket around the world going to
waste, I am looking for a Canadian named
Elizabeth Gallagher who could use the ticket.’
He also had a list for any prospective
Elizabeth Gallaghers that might want to join
him:
1. Be sane, smart and (hopefully) interesting.
2. Have always wanted to travel, but maybe
haven’t had the opportunity or cash to see
much of the world.
3. Be named Elizabeth Gallagher and have a
Canadian passport.
4. Be ready for a rather spontaneous life
experience that will, one day, be an epic story
that you’ll tell your kids.
5. Pay it forward. I’ve been lucky in life and
this is me giving back to the universe. Do
something similar someday.
"I am not looking for anything in return, I am
not looking for companionship, romance,
drugs, a trade, or to take selfies with you in
front the Christmas Market in Prague. If you
feel compelled to toss me a couple hundred
bucks, great. Really the only thing I ask for is
that you enjoy this trip and that it bring you
happiness.
‘We can travel together and see some cool
stuff – or not. I’m easy and have no problem
with someone taking the tickets and doing
their own thing (see ya on the plane!)’
The itinerary in full:
December 21: NYC —> Milan
December 28: Prague —> Paris
December 29: Paris —> Bangkok
January 7: Bangkok —> New Dehli
January 8: New Dehli —> Toronto

British-Nigerian Man in UK Banned from Work over Ebola Fears

Sam
Sam Ogunnoiki

A Nigerian man in the UK who is a British citizen, has been banned from his workplace over fears that he may have contracted Ebola during a recent trip to Nigeria.

The 46-year-old man, Sam Ogunnoiki, who is an employee of Stout Security Ltd where he works as a security guard, was told that he couldn’t resume work until was back in the UK for three weeks, and a British doctor certified him Ebola-free, Pulse NG reports.
According to reports, Ogunnoiki received a letter from his boss which stated:
I have spoken to you and expressed my very deep concerns about your trip to Nigeria.
Several members of staff have now voiced their concerns about the possibility of your carrying the Ebola virus back with you and have made it very clear that they are extremely reluctant to work with you on your return.
One member of staff has even written a clear and concise letter stating the concerns of your work colleagues. In this case I have to support their concerns especially as I have already voiced them personally to you.
In order to allay any fears that you are a carrier for this deadly virus I feel I cannot allow you to return to work until you have been back in the United Kingdom for three weeks, which is the incubation period.
I must also request that you visit your doctor on your return and get a clean bill of health before you can start work with us. I am very sorry about this Sam but everyone works in close proximity together and I have to put the concerns of the majority first.
In response to the ban, Ogunnoiki says “Nigeria does not have Ebola but he said I have to be cleared. There is this stigma surrounding me now – it’s just ignorance and a nightmare because I cannot work. I’m a British citizen. There is no justification for this at all.”

Sam Ogunnoiki, who works as a security guard
at Stout Security Ltd headquartered in
Cornwall, UK, has been told not to go to work
over fears he may have Ebola after visiting
Nigeria.
The 46 year old British citizen, faces a three-
week quarantine from his employers who told
him that he needs to get the all-clear from a
British doctor before he can go back to work.
Below is the letter (in full) his direct boss sent
to him
"I have spoken to you and expressed my very

don’t know where he’s travelled. My problem
is that Pendennis [shipyard], which I have a

19 Year Old Super Falconettes Player Rejects $7,000 Pay Because She Feels Honoured to Play for Nigeria

courtney dike ii
A 19-year-old who plays for the Super Falconettes, Nigeria’s Under 20 female football team has rejected the $7,000 paid to her by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for participating in the 2014 U-20 Women’s World Cup, Nigerian Watch reports.

She is said to have refused to accept the money because she felt that playing for Nigeria was enough reward.
The US-born athlete also plays for the Oklahoma State Football team.
“When we called her mother to confirm the delivery of the allowances, she declined it and insisted that the opportunity of playing for Nigeria was all the reward the family needed,” said Sanusi Mohammed, the NFF’s head of competitions.
Reacting to the news, Dilichukwu Onyedinma,  head of the Nigeria Women League board, said  “She is a star and patriotic Nigerian who put service to her fatherland above money. The minister is aware and we will push the act before the NFF so it can inspire many others. Doing this with the backing of her parents, Courtney Dike should be applauded and perhaps celebrated.”

Winifred Adebayo: Concerned Citizen? Or Character Assassin

Moving to a new place has its ups and downs; so does finding yourself in any surrounding you’re not accustomed to. Your senses are operating on high-speed; you’re taking in all the smiles, hugs, and stares, while trying to discern who is who, and what group to place people as they come your way.

I’m sure everyone has experienced a concerned citizen grab your hand or shoulder and volunteer to help make your transition a little easier.
Now I’m all up for ‘angels’ and ‘present helps’ who show up when confusion just becomes your middle name. They almost feel like the breath of fresh air, taste of cold water, or the taste of mint. Most times everyone would welcome the new friend(s) that takes your hand to show you around.
What I find very disturbing is how much control he/she/they will have over the rest of your experience in that organization or environment.
Being the new girl on the block has its perks. From previous experiences, I have learned to be more careful, because how I make the transition from JJC to home girl will affect the rest of my stay in that given place. I’ve gotten my fair share of concerned citizen escorts. They are usually experts in loaded comments: few words which mean too much. Pointing at someone and dropping the atomic bomb ‘Be careful oh!’ and then when asked why; their response would always start with ‘I heard’, ‘they said’, ‘somebody said’, ‘they told me’ etc. The sources are always anonymous. Now these are the people I call ‘character assassins from the pit of hell’.
Why, oh why…are you spreading news without knowing the source of the information? If someone did not offend you directly, why have you made it a mandate upon your life to induct every new person into a pre-existing hatred-association against that person? Even if you know the source of the story or it happened to you directly, what do you stand to gain by poisoning someone’s mind about another person?
These are the questions that fill my mind each time I think of this. While gossip is enjoyed, the people involved don’t always fully understand how much damage is done with the movements of their lips. People’s characters are defamed, future relationships that would have yielded good things are destroyed before they even got a chance to start, new hearts and minds are poisoned about an individual and it follows them wherever they go. You could spread an ill story about someone in Lagos today and a cousin of the person you told in Australia would hear that same story and the story keeps growing wings. In case you haven’t realized, the world is a small place and news travels very far with little fuel.
I’ve met couples who heard negative things about each other before they met, only to find out that those things are lies and they are soul mates. What would have happened if they had listened to concerned citizens? Think of how many relationships or friendships you have missed out on because someone put a negative story in your heart.
Dear readers, no one is perfect. I have messed up a few relationships/friendships and I have my flaws, but that doesn’t mean I’m no good to any other person I come across in my life. Instead I should focus on being better and when people offend me directly or indirectly, I should extend the same courtesy and give them a chance to get it right with someone else, not destroy their name and character before they even meet a new person. And for those professional gossip representatives spreading stories you don’t know the facts about, FEAR GOD and STOP!
I’m fully aware that some people succeed in burning every chance you give them to get it right and you might feel the need to protect a new person, friend, or loved one from such person. The best way to do that is to learn how to state confirmable facts about an incident without making judgments about the person’s character, let people make decisions about other people for themselves. For example, I should say ‘When I did business with Bisi, she didn’t pay me my money’ not ‘Bisi is selfish, irresponsible and owes everyone she does business with’. One says this is my experience be careful, the other kills Bisi’s character without even giving any tangible facts.
Regardless of how many people warn or help you, getting hurt in life is INEVITABLE. We are all human beings and our flaws make us prone to mistakes that cause us and the people in our lives pain. So instead of being a ‘character police’ or ‘character assassin’, let people make their choices. Remember, we are stronger because of how many people we lift up, not how many people we pull down. Don’t be a concerned citizen aka character assassin. It destroys more than you and I could ever imagine.
So who has had a concerned citizen experience? How did you handle it? What other tips do you have?
