The entire community of Alade at Owode Ijako
of Ogun state woke up this morning to a
disturbing news of an armed robbery attack
involving three young men of under 24. They
started disturbing the community at 2am
during which they raided four houses. They
carted away over N100,000 in one of the
houses and many phones.
The vigilante rose to the occasion of
safeguarding the community to forestall
further attack when one of the thieves was
shot dead while the remaining two escaped.
At about 9am today, two more suspects were
arrested before being whisked away to the

Abduction of journalists & others by Tompolo- Keyamo gives SSS, IG final ultimatum

We have been briefed by the family members
and friends of the following persons who were
kidnapped, tortured and nearly killed (along
with some journalists) by the hirelings of one
Government Ekpemupolo (alias Tompolo) on
Sunday, November 16, 2014, in Delta State:
1.) Mr. Eyengho B. Samuel 2.) Tokunbor
Oluwaleye 3.) Kelvin Tuduo 4.) Ekpen 5.)
Edema Eburajolor 6.) Otos Lemun and 7.)
Dolor Emmanuel. Please continue..
The facts are that the aforementioned boys
(hereinafter referred to as “the seven victims”),
together with some journalists from different
media houses went to Ogidingben in Delta
State on Sunday, November 16, 2014, to get
first-hand coverage of the crises leading to
the cancellation of the commissioning of the
EPZ Project by President Jonathan two days
earlier. Recall that I raised an alarm last week
about the threat by Tompolo in respect of the
commissioning of the project by the President.
True to the alarm, the President called off the
commissioning because of the threat by
Tompolo.
When leaving the venue, the journalists were
joined on the boat by the seven victims, three
of whom were given a free ride, one was a
boat driver and three were from the company
that owns the boat.
On their way from Ogidingben after their
assignments, the seven victims and the
journalists were stopped in their boats and
blocked by more than ten other boats loaded
with fierce-looking and armed hooligans
around an area called Tebujo, which is also
near an area called Opuraja. The seven victims
and the journalists were then evacuated from
their boat into one of the boats of the
hooligans. Along the line, Tompolo called and
spoke with one of the journalists and he
confirmed that he sent the hooligans to
accost them and that they should “co-
operate” with his boys.
The seven victims and the journalists were
then taken to Tompolo’s house in Opuraja
where they were beaten to pulp by Tompolo’s
boys. The cameras of the journalists were all
seized and the memory cards were removed so
that they could not show what they went to
cover. Unknown to them however, the
journalists all had back-ups of their materials
in their external hard disks which Tompolo’s
boys did not see and seize.
It was a near-death experience for all the
victims and in particular for Mr. Tokunbor
Oluwaleye who is suffering from internal
bleeding and is in a critical condition till
today. It took the intervention of Naval and
Army personnel in the area for the victims and
journalists to be rescued from the hands of
Tompolo’s boys later that evening.
Sirs, your failure to simply carry out your
statutory duties of arrest, investigation and
prosecution of Tompolo for his various acts of
lawlessness is now a national and an
international embarrassment to the
Government of President Goodluck Jonathan.
It is disgusting to all men of normal minds to
see a private citizen strutting all over the
place, threatening lives, abducting citizens,
(perhaps silently killing voiceless persons) and
you hide your heads in the sand. Yet, he
moves about with nearly a whole platoon of
Army and security personnel that even a
serving Governor cannot get. What is going
on?
Recall that I wrote a complaint of the open
threat to my life by the same individual nearly
two weeks ago, yet you have not even done as
little as write me an acknowledgment letter. It
is such a shame. This unhealthy romance
between government officials in high places
and this individual raises strong suspicion
over, perhaps, some criminal dalliance in
relation to shady deals. I am confident that
time will tell us better. There is no better way
to see this. But I have decided that enough is
enough.
TAKE NOTICE that if within 72 hours of the
receipt of this petition you fail, refuse and/or
neglect to invite/arrest, investigate and
perhaps prosecute Mr. Government
Ekpemupolo (alias Tompolo) for the threat to
my life and the attempted murder of these
seven victims and the journalists, I will be
proceeding to court to compel you to do your
duties under the law.
I would want you to come and tell the court
what is tying your hands against Tompolo.

Tambuwal dumps presidential aspiration,settles for Sokoto governorship

There are reports that the Speaker of the
House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal, has dumped
his presidential aspiration and might be
settling for the Sokoto state governorship
ticket under the APC.
According to media reports, some chieftains of

his cloth was apprehended and burnt alive
some few minutes after 1pm this afternoon at
the Gombe Line Park in Gombe state.
Residents of the area said the man was
preparing to blow himself up when he was
spotted. The mob refused to hand him over to
the police and immediately set him on fire.

The Nation correspondent kidnapped in Abiastate

The Abia state correspondent for the Nation
Newspaper, Mr. Ugochukwu Ugorji-Eke has
been kidnapped by unknown gunmen. He was
kidnapped on Sunday November 16th in front
of his premises at Toengine Crescent, off Ovom
Road, Ogbor Hill, Aba.
According to an eyewitness report, Ugorji-Eke
was returning from an outing at about 7.30pm
when he was accosted in front of his house by
the kidnappers. He was dragged out of his car
and whisked away in the kidnappers car.
The abductors are said to be asking for
N20million to free him. They warned his wife
not to involve the police in the negotiations or
risk losing him. The state Police commissioner
sas they are investigating the matter.

American aide worker Peter Kassig beheadedby ISIS

Former US soldier and aide worker Peter
Kassig has been beheaded by ISIS. The US
government confirmed his killing in a
statement today after reviewing a video ISIS
released that purported to show the
beheading. The 26 year old Indianapolis man
was captured in eastern Syria on Oct. 1, 2013,
while delivering relief supplies for the aid
group he founded.
This will make it the 5th foreigner ISIS has
beheaded so far!

Another fallen hero; Lt. Mudassir killed by Boko Haram yesterday

Liuetenant A. Mudassir (Mudex) was killed by
Boko Haram militants yesterday November 16th.
He and members of his troop were on their
way to reclaim Chibok from Boko Haram when

ensuing gun battle.
He was a 59RC gentleman officer from the

Dozens killed as Fulani herdsmen invade a village in Nasarawa

If we are not battling Boko Haram, we are
battling Fulani Herdsmen. Dozens of people
have been killed today in a village called
Alakio in Nasarawa state by Fulani
Herdsmen.
The Herdsmen attacked the community in the
early hours of today with guns and machetes
as they slept. According to people talking
about it on Twitter, the Herdsmen are still
ravaging the town...and many residents have
fled their homes for safety.

Ventures Africa, an African business magazine
and news service, has today launched its
second annual ranking of Africa’s wealthiest
people. The Richest People in Africa list
remains the most comprehensive compilation
of the continent’s wealthiest individuals.
In 2014, Ventures Africa counted 55 African
billionaires with a net worth totalling $161.7
billion, a 12.4% rise from $143.8 billion in
2013.
This year Nigeria remains the continent’s top
contributor to the Rich List. Of the
55billionaires, 23 are Nigerian. Their collective
wealth is $77.7 billion. This is 48 percent of
the total Rich List wealth, almost as much as
the other countries combined.
Other key findings from the research include:
· Nigeria has four new billionaires. Cletus
Ibeto, founder of multi-business conglomerate,
Ibeto Group, leads the list of newcomers with
a net worth of $3.7 billion. He is followed by
Benedict Peters, an oil magnate valued at $
2.7 billion. Well-known financier and
philanthropist Tony Elumelu, valued at $1.6
billion, and Akanimo Udofia, worth $1 billion,
complete the list.
· AlikoDangote, founder of Africa’s largest
industrial conglomerate Dangote Group,
remains the continent’s richest man. His net
worth has grown to $25.7 billion, a 21% rise
from his $20.2 billion valuation in 2013.
· Igho Sanomi, a Nigerian oil trader, shares
the position of Africa’s youngest billionaire
with Mohammed Dewji, Tanzania’s richest
man. At 39, Igho Sanomi, the founder of oil
conglomerate Taleveras Group, is worth $1.3
billion.
· FolorunshoAlakija, the richest black woman
in the world, is worth $7.3 billion dollars.
· Almost 40% of Nigeria’s billionaires’ wealth
is tied to its oil and gas industry.
Chi-Chi Okonjo, Founder of Ventures Africa,
said:

Photo: 70 year old man arrested forN42million Stock Fraud

Find the EFCC press statement below
A 70-year-old man, Adebola Oyewole
Asiwaju, has been arrested by the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for
allegedly attempting to fraudulently sell the
shares of one Olalere Sunday Oladosu.
To perfect the scam, the suspect allegedly
forged documents and opened a bank
account in a new generation bank, with the
assumed name of “Olalere Sunday Oladosu”.
Then, he proceeded to instruct Marina
Securities, a brokerage, to dispose of
1.7million units of Zenith Bank shares valued
at N42million and remit the proceeds to the
account he opened with the new generation
bank.
The lid on the scam was lifted when a routine
check by staff of Marina Securities revealed
some discrepancies in the documents
presented by the suspect and the ones the
genuine owner of the shares had filed with
the defunct Intercontinental Securities
Limited.
Consequently, the suspect was arrested by
the Nigeria Police, and later handed over to
the EFCC for further investigation and
prosecution.
The suspect is alleged to be neck deep in
stealing shares of unsuspecting investors and
selling them for a commission. He is believed
to work for a syndicate and receives 10
percent of the proceeds of any “business” that
sails through. His accomplices are still at

You can always tell the character traits of an
individual by his/her eating mannerism.
Give her the sweet udara variety.
Her first action will be to remove the tiny stalk
that serves as the fruit cap/seal. She will then

juice and fleshy fruit pulp into her mouth.

other for the first time on Thursday November
13 at an event in London.
The tallest man, 31 year-old Sultan Kosen
from Turkey, a part-time farmer, is 8 feet 3
inches tall and can reach a basketball hoop
without jumping. He became the world's
tallest living man in 2009. He also holds the
record for largest hands on a living person.
His hands measure 11.2 inches from the wrist
to the tip of his middle finger.
The shortest man, 74 year-old Chandra
Bahadur Dangi, from Nepal, is just 21½ inches
tall and is the shortest adult human ever
verified by Guinness World Records. He works
as a weaver who also helps look after
buffaloes & cows in his remote mountain
village of Reemkholi. He weighs just 32
pounds.
The occasion the unique men met was the
10th annual Guinness World Records Day,
which celebrates record-setting achievements
around the globe.

The School of Engineering building of the
Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, housing
several offices and a large classroom was
ravaged by fire last night November 15th,
destroying documents and properties worth
millions of Naira. The fire started around
10pm and completely burnt the complex.
It took the combined efforts of the men of the
Ekiti State Fire Service, the Polytechnic Fire
Service team, security officials and students
to prevent the fire from spreading to other
facilities in the School. The cause of the fire
is unknown but the school said they plan to
