Would you put your baby in this kind of bed? (photos)

A Jaws Superfan dad named Joseph Reginella made this terrifying epic DIY bed for babies or small pets. He put his own son on the bed to sample it and from the looks of it, the lil man is terrified of the bed. I mean, who wants to sleep on a bed with the thoughts of being eaten alive by a shark? It's quite creative but would you put your child in a bed like this? See more photos after the cut...

Photos: The epileptic man on the road

The LIB reader who sent this wants me to post it exactly the way she wrote it. See below...
"What happened today, 5th of january, 2015 shows what Nigeria has become today. The average man in Nigeria is helpless ( I write this with all sincerity of heart)
Today an epileptic man was lying helplessly on the side of the road vibrating and lying faced down. People drove by, walked by and no one seemed to care and because of the epidemic virus- ebola no one wanted to touch him  and that is very understandable.

We were 5 or 6 of us so who cared. what did we do? We called for an ambulance three different times and were we told “IT WASNT AN EMERGENCY”. Then we called the ebola line maybe they would handle the situation with more efficiency. UNFORTUNATELY the person who picked the call heard the story and cut off the call...imagine that! So we didn’t bother to call for help again!
So we hoped that the epilepsy would calm down, but unfortunately it became worse and due to that he ended up falling in the gutter (which was full of stale water), he could have lost his life. So 2 men were able to bring him out and then we got a doctor who lived nearby to come help us .. HOURS went by and FINALLY! He came back! He remembered his name & was able to speak………

At the end of the day, he got come money for transport, a change of cloths and definitely some advice from the doctor! I’m so grateful he didn’t have to lose his life.

If the roads was tarred his asthma wouldn’t have been at the extreme. If the gutter was properly drained, He wouldn’t have drowned. If we had reliable health care services in this country he would have gotten better treatment and probably not have gotten that epileptic attack. If we had an effective ambulance system and if the ebola line was effective too he would have been in the hospital getting better treatment. If we weren’t caring enough to help him! Who knows??? He could have lost his life.
Nigeria needs a turnaround before its too late!!!

18 Female Soldiers Feared Kidnapped In Baga, Borno state

Sahara Reporters is reporting that Boko Haram militants may have kidnapped 18 female soldiers in Baga in Borno State. Report below...
Two sources told SaharaReporters that, out of 26 female soldiers posted to the military base of the Multinational Joint Task Force, only eight have so far been accounted for. The commander of the troops in the area, Colonel Kuti, has also not been found since the insurgents attacked the town on Saturday. Residents of Baga told our reporters that Boko Haram insurgents invaded their town and killed at least 55 people, including soldiers attached to MNJTF.
Both residents and security sources said the insurgent attack lasted close to 18 hours before the Islamist terrorists overpowered the troops and seized the military base. One military source said the attack took them by surprise. He said the troops made a gallant effort to repel the attack, but that hundreds of Islamist militants stormed the military base with high-caliber weapons. A resident revealed that the invading insurgents also burnt down parts of the fishing town. Bukar Kaka, a fisherman who fled from the town, said no fewer than 50 villagers, including five soldiers, were killed while others sustained wounds in the attacks. He said he saw soldiers fleeing.
A security source said the insurgent invaders also stormed other neighboring communities, shooting indiscriminately at people. He added that the militants also destroyed hundreds of houses and shops, often using fuel and other explosive devices.
In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Senator Maina Ma’aji Lawan confirmed the insurgents’ attack on Baga and surrounding towns. He added that military troops and youth volunteers, popularly known as ‘civilian JTF, had attempted to repel the onslaught, but were overpowered by the invaders.

Five things I learnt from Toke Makinwa in 2014 by Shade Ladipo

Article written by OAP and TV producer, Shade Ladipo (pictured right). Enjoy...
2014 was an eventful year and very few non-celebrities made it a very interesting year, one of them was Ms. Makinwa and since I get a lot of questions about her from my listeners, I have decided to help you explain what she did right, if you are Social Media Savvy and know whats happening in pop culture then my subject matter will be no stranger to you; Please continue...
5. Looking Good is Good Business.
Although everyone called Toke the MTN of 2013/2014, Mrs Ayida has proven that looking good is a definite step in being seen. Every event she appeared she looked like the belle of the ball from her hair to her nails and of course her clothes/shoes. Without a doubt if you want to be noticed then this is a very important step (If you can afford it of course)
Tip A: Get a stylist If you can afford one)
Tip B: Raid you friends and family's wardrobe but please dont sleep with men for clothes and shoes oh

4. Social Media Ready
Without a doubt being social media ready is something everyone thinks they have on lock down but did you get noticed tho? From her Vlog to Instagram, Keek, Facebook et al, Toke was prepared for every opportunity to upload the right pictures (always taken properly) and every video seemed real and fun to watch
Tip A: Get a good phone (Samsung is probably the best, you can get 2nd hand from an uncle or father)
Tip B: Always have an attache friend who will always be willing to take all the pictures and make sure you pose plenty until you find the perfect picture, also make sure you post the picture before you go for the event and of course filter filter filter

3. Celebrity Friends Dont hurt
Friendships are usually hard to cultivate in these days of over-exposure and 'fakers' but if you go the Toke way its possible to have almost every celebrity wanting to be in the same mix with you without even being as close and tight as everyone would think. Everyone likes a good support system and Toke seems to provide that with her various platforms and been available to meet and attend personal events of these celebrities and truly having some celebrity friends doesn't hurt one bit (As long as you also have some value to provide them oh)
Tip A: Make friends with upcoming and insecure artistes, they are willing to be friends with almost everyone
Tip B: Target celebs that dont have cars or dont have easy access to things you have access to

2. Live Your Life Like Its Glamorous
Toke seems to have a GLAM life and in the world of Social Media that is a big plus for getting the world to look in your direction. Even if she doesn't have a glamorous life, from the outside it sure looks like it. So you want everyone looking then live it up, turn up with class, hang out with the hottest ladies, be seen at the IT events and trust me it all looks like you're hotter than Kim K (You better have money to buy some event tickets oh)
Tip A: Every picture you post make sure you look like you're having fun, laugh hard, stick out your tongue, cover your face with a cap, get a tattoo, anything that will make you look wanton and happy

1. Your personal Life is Up For Grabs As Long As You Make It Work For You
A lot of criticism followed Toke in 2014 on how much she over exposed her personal life but hey She don marry innit?? All I'm saying is as long as you make all the Negative/Positive Press work in your favor then that is a big WIN in my books because from the Looks of things Toke is still happily married and nowadays you don't see anything unintentional in the Media about her personal life anymore. GBAM
Tip A: Take pictures with only the cute members of your family or preferably the yellow ones, cute babies and cute older uncles work
Tip B: Find a cute male friend, cover his face while sitting on his lap and call him Bae (also put a cute long story of how long you guys have known each other)

I know alot of people thought I would be all negative on this subject but far from been negative or positive I AM BEING OBJECTIVE

Toke Makinwa-Ayida is a celebrity by her own doing (and she didnt need a sex tape to do it). Did she do some things wrong last year yes but she did a lot of things right plus she stepped up her Emceeing game last year as well (she even listened to me and has toned down the phonee lol)

There should be a manual on how to be a celebrity without actually being a celebrity and Toke should write it‎.

APC has released a statement commiserating with President Jonathan over the death of his younger sister, Mrs Nancy Jonathan-Olei who died at a private hospital in Bayelsa yesterday January 4th.

In the statement signed by its National Secretary Lai Mohammed, the party prayed that God comforts President Jonathan and his family.

Elections are here. This is a reminder from Esure

"2014 has run its course and like years before it; gone into history. These years may be gone but the effects they left have shaped our lives as individuals and collectively as a nation, into whatever we can describe as... Good/Bad; Excellent/Poor; Rosy/Gloomy." - Esure

Now that we’re in a new year, the actions we take will further cement our status. This one is even more significant as we have elections coming up; Elections bring stagnancy or progress or change (etc.) depending on events before and after them. Therefore, here and now, we have another opportunity to rewrite our story and redefine ourselves... or stay the same. The choice is ours!”

This summarises the message in this new conscious single “IDIBO DE” by Corporate Executive/Label Owner/Music Producer/Exemplary Guitarist ESURE.
IDIBO DE highlights the common happenstances on our political landscape in Nigeria where politicians only remember the masses they are voted in to serve when election time comes. It gives a reflective insight to the mind of an average Nigerian on lessons learnt from the past and mindset going forward... Do enjoy, perhaps you too might learn something.

Mercy Johnson Okojie sends new year message to fans

'I Am Grateful' Mercy Johnson Okojie writes in her new year message to fans. Read below...
One of the best feelings one can have is the feeling that some people who have never met you in person have your back. I have experienced love from unimaginable people; Ghana, Liberia, Paris, UK, USA, Seychelles and all over the world.
Some met me crying, gave me gifts, took pictures, asked questions, and some, not so pleasant. But in all of these, I have no complaint because being where I am is a gift and privilege by God. A privilege and a place I never thought I would be, a few years ago.
This level has its own attendant consequence, as I take in the blessing; I appreciate the not-so-pleasant side as well.  For this, I am grateful to God, my fans, and stakeholders in the industry who love me just the way I am.
I want to also say a very big thank you to my husband for giving me room to fly. Some men out there would probably have clipped my wings but Odi is not some kind of man. I want to say thank you for being so supportive and understanding.
I want to take this time to say thank you to everyone who made the journey of 2014 easier despite the attendant challenges. I am grateful to the marketers and my colleagues who stayed in touch with me even when I was pregnant, directors who were patient with me, fans who watched all the movies of 2014, those who took time out to search for me on Google, who corrected me in love and those who watched ‘30 Days in Atlanta’ (to make it biggest Nollywood movie in cinema history). I am also grateful to everyone who showed me one form of love or the other during the birth of our second son, Prince Henry: Nigerian Emabssy in the US, social media followers and my ever diligent media and management company, Bigsam Media.
I plan and hope that 2015 will be different from previous years. The jobs I will do will be slightly different from that of the past. I will take up more challenges. I will also have to balance things out because I still have to play the role of a wife and mother, but all in all, there should be a new Mercy Johnson of sort.
As per the style, I have received all your complaints and I will try and improve but please, do not forget I am just a down-to-earth-girl-next-door. Thank you.
And please, AMVCA is around the corner, let’s win again together this year, on how to vote, check @bigsammedia on Twitter.
As always I am grateful. I wish you the best this year has to offer. Happy New Year.
Bigsam Media
